ZETA THETA LAMBDA
FOUNDATION
MISSION STATEMENT
Zeta Theta Lambda Foundation, Inc. (“ZTLF” or “Foundation”) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and the charitable arm of the Zeta Theta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. The Foundation’s mission is to promote manly deeds, scholarship and love for all mankind throughout the Greater Harrisburg, Pennsylvania Capital Region. This mission is accomplished through several signature programs: (1) Go to High School, Go to College (Andrew M. Bradley Scholarships, George M. Leader Book Awards, College Tour, Academic Tutoring); (2) Project Alpha (a human sexuality and teen pregnancy prevention program; and, (3) A Voteless People is a Hopeless People (Alpha Day at the Capitol, voter registration, voter education, voter awareness).
A particular emphasis of ZTLF's mission is to reverse the trend of declining academic performance by minority inner city students. ZTLF pursues this goal primarily through the funding of college scholarships, participation in mentoring programs and by offering academic tutoring and other educational assistance programs. The Foundation seeks staff and volunteer training, technical assistance and financial assistance to strengthen the organization’s ability to lead, market, operate and raise funds. The Foundation is also engaged in its "Black & Gold Campaign" which is designed to raise $150,000 for a corporate headquarters to more effectively run our programs. Please make a tax-deductible donation to the Foundation to help support this very important work in the Capital Region.
